Farewell Announcement for Rachel McMahon

Written by CESA | Nov 4, 2024 10:58:45 PM

We at CESA are sad to announce that Rachel McMahon, our VP of Policy, is leaving CESA. Her last day will be November 8.

We want to thank Rachel for the extraordinary work she has done representing CESA and leading our policy activity. She has ably led our working groups and our advocacy efforts before the energy agencies, CAISO, and the Legislature. Rachel’s thoroughness and vigor in advancing CESA’s policy objectives were exceptional. We greatly appreciate her effectiveness and both the breadth and depth of policy expertise she brought to the role.

Before accepting the VP of Policy position, Rachel was also instrumental in supporting CESA as an independent consultant. She worked closely with CESA’s Board to help navigate the organization toward its current structure, including helping to identify and arrange contracts with the excellent team of technical experts who now lead our policy and safety work, as well as our administrative support team.

Rachel will be missed, but she is not leaving the CESA family entirely. In her new role as Director, Regulatory and Legislative Affairs at EDF Renewables, we expect Rachel will continue to be involved in shaping CESA’s policy work and advancing the storage industry’s interests. We wish her the best and look forward to working with her in her new role.
