- SB 302 Signed into Law – CESA's advocacy excluded IRA-related clean energy tax credits from CA taxable income.
- SB 283 Laird "Clean Energy Safety Act of 2025" – CESA engaged early with Senator Laird and key sponsors to shape SB 283, which was signed by Governor Newsom. The law strengthens BESS safety by requiring consultation with local fire authorities, inspections before operation, and consideration of fire code updates. CESA’s advocacy ensured the bill supports both safety and continued energy storage deployment.
- AB 303 “Battery Energy Safety and Accountability Act” Delayed – Through coordinated lobbying and direct meetings with legislators, CESA successfully made this siting-restriction bill a two-year bill, protecting development pathways for BESS projects.
- Resource Adequacy Methodology Delay – Prevented adoption of flawed RA rules, protecting storage value through 2028.
