IDSM Learning Session II

The Learning Session agenda is currently being developed and is anticipated to include a discussion on customer needs and out-of-state integrated demand side management programs.

Regarding the discussion on out-of-state programs, several presentations are currently being considered including a presentation on non-California Zero Net Energy programs and an integrated residential energy efficiency/demand response program in the state of Nevada.  I would like to include additional out- of-state IDSM presentations as well, and invite parties to email recommendations for presentations and panelists (Please note that we do not have travel funds to support in-person presentations).  Recommendations should include an overview of the out-of-state IDSM presentation topic, why your organization believes it is needed in this proceeding, and include suggested panelists with contact information.

There will be also be a lengthy discussion on customer needs.  The four utilities in this proceeding (Pacific Gas and Electric Company, San Diego Gas & Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, and Southern California Gas Company) are directed to work together to summarize and present a recent residential customer segmentation profile overview. The four utilities are also directed to work together to develop a presentation on commercial sub-markets or “verticals” and their different customer profiles and needs.  In addition, parties are invited to email ideas for presentations and panelists regarding customer needs. The recommendation should include an overview of the suggested presentation topic, why your organization believes it is needed in this proceeding, and include suggestions for panelists with contact information.

All recommendations for presentations and panelists, as described above, are to be emailed to the assigned Administrative Law Judge and the service list by noon on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
